Craft

We made ornaments out of bakeable art dough last week and yesterday we painted them. We'll put magnets on the back of them. She's very proud of them.
She made such a mess I took her outside and hosed her down!
She had such a good time I think we'll make some Christmas ornaments soon.

A Conversation

The other day Eleanor was playing with my purse. Once she finished picking through it she slung it over her shoulder and started to the door.

"Bye, Mommy." she said.

"Bye. Where are you going?" I asked.

"Chips. I get chips." came the reply.

"Oh." I said. A few seconds pass.

"Stuck! Mommy, stuck! Door stuck!" she shouts when she can't reach the door knob.

I think I'm in for it when she gets her driver's license.

Jabber

A switch somewhere in Eleanor's brain switched on a few weeks ago and she has realized she can talk. And boy, does she enjoy it. While she still doesn't make sense all the time, she does a lot of the time. Here are a few of her favorite things to say:

"I full, Mommy." - This is always accompanied with a pat on her chest before she goes right back to eating.

"I want Mommy sit." - This always means in the exact spot she is pointing to and no other.

"Eleanor read Einstein book." - Pretty self explanatory.

"I want to play in Eleanor room." - Translation - Drop what you're doing and let me in my room now!

"It's hot." - We do live in Texas.

"Baby sad." - Crying babies in stores get a lot of sympathy from Eleanor.

"I can't reach!" - M&M's on the the counter are a tough prey to catch.

And finally, Matt's favorite "Too, Daddy." which is how she replies when he says he loves her.
